Reporting to:                           Program Director

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As the National Level Coach, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, duties will include but are not limited to:

Coaching
·       National Level Groups – full range of coaching responsibility for Elite/National level competitive gymnasts (JO Level 8-10, Pre-Novice, Novice, Junior, Senior

Strategy
·       National Level Group – formulate competitive strategy including the planning and development of training sessions, schedules, programs and competition

Knowledge Sharing
·       Attend and contribute to coaching clinics for Women’s Program staff
·       Ensure consistency in coaching of technical program as mandated by the Technical Director, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education
·       Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in related field
·       National Coaching Certificate Level 3 or equivalent
·       Respect in Sport Certified

Experience
·       5 years experience in national/international level women’s artistic gymnastics coaching
·       Familiar with standard concepts, practices, procedures, technical knowledge and spotting in women’s High Performance competitive gymnastics
·       Proven ability to develop gymnasts 8 to 20 years of age to a national/international competitive level

·       Approachable and solution oriented with superior communication skills

Men's Coach

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time/Full Time, Weekend, Day, and Evening
20.0 + hours per week

Skill Requirements
Education
– Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.)
– National Coaching Certificate Level 1 or Equivalent
– First Aid
– Respect in Sport
– Making Ethical Decisions
– Criminal Record Check, Child Intervention Record Check
Experience
– 3 years to less than 5 years
– Minimum 3 years experience coaching young boys
– Familiar with standard concepts, practices, procedures and technical knowledge in men’s competitive gymnastics
– Proven ability to develop gymnasts around the Provincial requirements
Languages English
Duties

Applicants must have an NCCP Level 1 Certificate, have NCCP Level 2 Certificate in progress, or origin country NCCP 1 equivalent. Applicants must also have a minimum of 3 years of men’s artistic gymnastics coaching experience working with the 5-10 year old age group. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have coached and mentored men’s artistic gymnasts through a progression up to and including provincial levels including participation at Provincial championships.
Compensation: $18.00 – $20.00 per Hour
